What charities do we support?

The New Zealand Couriers team is intrinsically linked to a number of important charitable causes throughout our country.

At a national level we provide ongoing support to four major charities - Child Cancer Foundation, Keep New Zealand Beautiful, The Hearing House and Kidsline. Here, our efforts go beyond the every day – we always look to see how we can be involved with practical, hands-on help.

This approach includes everything from monetary donations to logistical support to free delivery services. We roll up our sleeves and get involved with environmental clean-ups, loud shirts and much, much more. And via our network of motivated and passionate individuals, we effectively advocate for these worthy causes – encouraging other individuals and businesses to get stuck in and help out too.

Child Cancer Foundation

We are proud to have a long-standing relationship with the Child Cancer Foundation. Each year we provide them with a free mail collection service, reduced and free courier rates throughout the year and regular donations to the Stars of Courage programme – where each child diagnosed with cancer is gifted a dedicated star. The money we raise helps fund the $3 million required annually for child and family support services in New Zealand.

Keep New Zealand Beautiful

We are hugely grateful for what Keep New Zealand Beautiful does for our country. Since 2001, along with regular monetary donations, we’ve also rolled up our sleeves in the annual Clean Up Week and provided valuable savings with reduced courier rates. Sponsorship of the “Volunteer of the Month”, “Best Towns and Cities” and “Best Community / Environmentally Minded Initiative” categories also helps to support those so generously giving their time to and, in doing so, encourages others to join the cause.

The Hearing House

As the annual appeal for The Hearing House and the Southern Cochlear Implant Paediatric Loud Shirt Day is a fantastic opportunity to support two important independent charities. Helping deaf children with cochlear implants or hearing aids to listen and speak like their hearing peers is important, vital work. We help by distributing Loud Shirt Day registration pack nationwide every year and, of course, registering, donating and wearing ‘high-volume’ shirts each year.

Kidsline

This not-for-profit organisation provides telephone counselling services for all children up to the age of 14 years. With over 70 telephone operators Kidsline has trained ‘buddies’ to listen, support and help the next generation. This charity receives no government funding and must work with incredible efficiency to achieve its core aims. That’s why we’re so pleased to support their great work with financial assistance and free nationwide distribution of their school registration packs.
